There is no typhoon nor storm signal yet suspension of classes in all levels and offices in NCR and nearby provinces, Pampanga included, occurs.:( Rain refused to leave and made its strong presence felt the whole night and up at this hour. Sirens in Marikina and church bells in QC to signal forced evacuation are activated.
I used to love the raindrops on my roof. I admit I enjoyed the "holidays" it brought with it. Ondoy however changed everything. Each time it rains hard now, the anxiety inevitably resurfaces. I pull the emergency lights and charge them right away, I make sure ready-to-eat meals are found in the pantry.
Urban planning, how complex and wide it sounds to me, MUST be a top priority of the government. Proper waste management should strictly be implemented. All of us need to act. Hi PNoy,senators and congressmen and local officials.
A huge number of families are scattered now in evacuation centers. I am sure they need help. In times like this, top on the list of things we can actually do is to seek for God's protection and try to find ways on how to extend assistance in ways possible.
Stay safe. Listen to news updates. Charge lights.Have candles, potable water and food readily available.Keep calm. Ulan, stop na please.
