guilty or not

Today,Hubert Webb is on headlines again. He is of course,implicated once more on the Vizconde massacre. His name is even trending on Twitter now. This news,pardon me,infuriates me. Won't the public leave him alone?

A tiny history- from the day Hubert's photo was shown on papers and boob tube,I had this hunch he's innocent of the crime. Yes I admit,it is due to his boyish appearance. It was LIKE at first sight for me.I made that public,did not care of the varied reactions. Besides,my brothers were" supportive" of my insanity on him. I kept myself constantly aware of the investigations conducted, the numerous interviews/guestings of both sides,the trial covered on tV,the arraignment-verdict-and acquittal by the Supreme Court(SC) a few months ago.

It pained my heart each time I see Hubert and his family devastated over the greatest trial of their lifetime. It just as the same swelled my spirit with gladness upon seeing them hugging one another when he was out of Bilibid.

I gave all the witnesses the due benefit of the doubt. I never eradicated the possibility that maybe,he perpetuated the heinous crime in the 90s. However, SC gave its final decision that Hubert Jeffrey P. Webb did not commit the rape and murder. He was out of the country during the time it occurred.

It puzzles me now,why again this headline today? If there are really new witnesses,why did they wait for the SC statement. Why didn't they surface years ago? Whyyy?

I may sound sentimental about the issue.Yes I am. I am one in wishing for justice to the Vizcondes.Let me clear that. It is nonetheless pathetic to always point at a guy as the culprit when documents and papers and sworn statements from dignified people prove he was nowhere Philippines on that sad day for the Vizconde girls.

Couldn't the public spare him a little peace? As best stated by my Koyang Mark the day I texted him Hubert was a free man,"Guilty or not,his incarceration of 15 years was no joke."

Life's OK when you have a FRIEND like KEI

The miracle of friendship speaks from one heart to another. It listens to unspoken needs,recognizes secret dreams and understands the silent things.This line best exemplifies the relationship I have with Carren-Cals-Kei and Sharon-Bee. Can't say something about the one without mentioning the other. They are quite intertwined. I have known Kei for around two decades now(waaahhh,getting old). In high school,we belonged to two groups combined into one.Thanks a lot,I do not own a copy of any photo of us on this era.:)

The Eraserheads phenomenon was born in the 90's. We went crazy with their songs and band members that is why on 2009,we didn't pass tha chance to watch their reunion concert at MOA concert grounds. It was when I realized you were a "fanner" of Eheads because form the first song to the last one,you knew the lyrics.Halatang pinaghandaan and show.Remember our exciting confrontation with the show's ushers??:)

We have quite a number of out-of-town trips already. Each journey is special not so much of the captivativating sceneries but of the company of one another. I know you will agree with that.Together with the Villa pipz, we had so much joviality in Tali Beach.Looking forward for an out-of-the country staycation with you.

I admire Kei's expertise in housekeeping and culinary skills. How attractive Atching Irma's house and garden. Villa pipz would always recall your infamous fried rice and Spam which you cooked in ungodly hours on my 31st bday here at home,that each time we are on an outing,we prod you to recur it.

 How can I not consider myself loved when you,with a heavy tummy and all,braved the crowd to accompany me in catching Kris on her campaign for NOY. It matters to me each time you share stories of the Cojuangcos and Aquinos in Tarlac and it delighted me to know that they love my "family."

You and Nilo mesmerized everyone with your immense power to conceive. How glad we were when you learned you were preggy. Thank you for choosing me as one of Gabriel Olin's Ninang. He's a charming  little boy. I am wishing and praying for a safe,healthy pregnancy and delivery of Miguel.

Thank you Kei for the gift of friendship. Thank you that even without a treasure map, I found a priceless gem in you. I have said a few times that in my life, I only have a handful of true friends YET I know that who I possess are the BESTEST and REALEST of all.Count to that the PRETTIEST!

fun holiday in SHANGHAI

On June 15,together with my cousins-slash-friends Ville and Sharon,I flew to Shanghai via Cebu Pacific Air.We satisfied our hunger pang with Yellow Cab's Charlie Chan pasta and Dear Darla pizza while waiting for boarding time. The flight left at 8 in the evening.We arrived in Pudong International Airport past 12 in the morning.Thanks to Au for fetching us.:) Finally,after "45 years," we stepped on Shanghai landia.

DAY 1.Finally with Arlette,our skinny gorgeous host. We were mesmerized to see bunch of luxury cars in the vicinity like Porsche,Buick,Rolls Royce,Ferraris,etc.I thought they were there for display only,however the aforementioned vehicles were indeed used on the wide roads of Shanghai.I remember my buddies Kong Jay,Ate Ana and B who are VW fanatics.Taxis were all Volkswagen.

Thank God for the sunny day.We were able to stroll around dry.Arlette planned the schedule of each day.It was kinda hectic.I guess she was really glad that we were actually there with her.

Century Square is our first stop. It is a clean park.How I wish in our land,there would be places as such where adults and kids can rest and play.I believe it is possible.

 In Shanghai,there is A wide language barrier. Each time we'd ask for price of products we like,the Chinese will hand us calculator so we can flash the amount we want.There's English anywei."How much u like?";"Tell me,here,how much you want?" We were fortunate that Arlet is superb both in Mandarin and haggling.:) Merchants chasing us was intimidating.

 Presenting my first purchase- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows DS game for RMB 50(300 pesos).I just hope I get to have the time and patience to play with it.

 Oh,hi KOBE! Was I glad to bump into you here in the territory of Yao Ming. Man,I miss you much. I almost hugged you. Loveyou,Black Mamba.I can't wait to catch you play next season.I promise the universe,I will never ever wish and pray for an early exit.By the way,hi-way,Hua ze Lei,have I said my SORRY about this?:(

This photo was taken at Decathlon.Decathlon is a must-visit store for sports enthusiasts.It has everything from tennis balls(I thought of Fr.Josel),roller skates,tents,leggings,hiking shoes,ballet dresses for kids(for Kadie and Mykee),backpacks,swim suits,etc.Name it,they have it. As for me who loves basketball,tennis and pingpong,I got this goggles primarily for its cool color.See how nice it is?:) Pinas,welcome it soon.Wink!

 One captivating thing about traveling is you get to grab new experiences. On this bus ride,the fare was RMB 3(18Php). There was no "konduktor,"we just dropped the coins in a container placed near the driver.Pa'no kaya if hinulog ko 3 pesos??

The word REST was not included in Arlette's dictionary during our duration in her land. She was remarkably bursting with energy to show us the various places,read:Malls,in Shanghai.Headed to Super Brand Mall with the lofty tower beside it.Sorry I overlooked its name.As what Let had said,it is similar with ABS Ch.2.
