A Wish Come True Sunday



On my demise Friendster account ( it actually existed), there was this question "Who would you like to meet?" My answer was: "Danding Cojuangco, Kobe Bryant, Marat Safin ( a Russian tennis player) and Gabby Lopez. Had a photo-op and nerve-wrecking short conversation with Danding many years ago, caught a glimpse of Black Mamba too at The Fort, I don't fancy Safin anymore but Gabby oh Gabby, I have yet to say hi to you. Gabby Lopez has been my "crush" for the longest time. His quiet flair and brilliance fascinate me so much, I read every article about him and his family. Tales of his father's generosity to the least and last reflect the kind of beings this universe need. Gabby and his siblings continue the legacy of the patriarch thru ABS-CBN Foundation. I find Gabby Lopez attractive because of his elusive personality as he rarely grants interviews. He is doing mighty fine as the chairman of Channel 2 coz the station remains to be number 1 and true to its "In the service of the Filipino worldwide" philosophy.

Needless to say, I am a Kapamilya and every certified one I am sure has this wish to watch ASAP live. This longest-running(19 years)Sunday afternoon show is the station's world-class entertainment program wherein big big stars come onstage to perform.  "How to watch ASAP?" Most-oft answer: "Pahirapan makapasok. You need to know somebody inside ABS."  Thankfully, I have "fairy sisters"who used their magic wands to let me have ASAP pass one given Sunday!!!


It's my first time to see my Fairy B at ABS Starbucks,2 hours before ASAP aired live. He looked snob at first but he's not.He was messaging my Fairy P as to how the two of us would meet. But Fairy P was deep in dreamland, we forgot to consider the Londy time difference. Yayyyy!! My angels made a way, Fairy B and I finally met at ABS Starbucks. On the contrary, he exceeded my expectations. This talented ASAP jewel was even texting and checking on us every now and then at the studio. My girls and I were pleasantly surprised coz we were seated at the front rows because we're the guests of Fairy B.
My other fairy, P, asked me days before the show whom I would like to meet up close if in case there will be a chance. It's a toss between JLC and Bamboo.

Omigosh!! We were actually here! The studio was relatively small, maybe it's the light effects that make it appear big on television.
We were having palpitations because of the excitement we had to breathe in, breathe out!:)

Countdown to 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1.... ASAP begins!!! It was madness with all the celebrities coming out and we didn't know where to look. Bawat sulok may artista!! It was a matter of preference and priority, all was screaming.Naluha na ata kame sa sigaw at saya!!! When Daniel Padilla came out, riot na talaga!!He is damn good-looking and the appeal is certified pamatay!!I have seen Piolo twice already I know he is truly deeply beautiful. I describe him as "inukit ni God to be the perfect definition of the word handsome". He has a good tan as he joined Ironman weeks ago. Short or long hair, he could carry well.Di ako nagpapicture with him kasi baka magustuhan n'ya ako.Hahaha!!!
 
Move over, Kathryn! Here comes Jann Therese!!:)
Daniel is IT!!! He has the floor to himself. His effortless charisma and mystique is uniquely his.He looks unassuming and unaware of how he makes everyone go gaga. I couldn't help but be doubly happy to see my niece, Jann, giggle and clap for Daniel. DJ is my post bday gift to you, Ate Jann!!:)

The photo with the Concert King generated a high number of likes on my Facebook page. I am surprised with Martin's kindness he even chatted with me and Ate Tonet. sa sobrang bait at daldal nya, napayakap pa ako sa kanya. :) I guess he liked the fact I brought up Penthouse Live to him.

JLC and Bamboo were not around but the afternoon still brought me a superb kind of high. I thought we could have actually combusted with euphoria. I was glad that Jann and I sang and danced with Toni's Really Don't Care. World-renowned singer Stephen Bishop was there too, along with ASAP performers belted my best friend Pam's most favorite song, On and On. While Enchong and Gerald were strutting their steps, I imagined bringing them to XO they will definitely bring the house down. Three hours seemed short when there's entertainment overload.  

Seeing my friends and niece's eyes glisten with joy was worth it. Our happiness was so loud it matched the voices of Lani Misalucha, Marcelito Pomoy and Alex Gonzaga. This one Sunday, a big wish came true. Much gratitude to my fairies P and B for making it happen. Your warm affection and gracious accommodation continue to tickle my heart. ASAP has the best stylist, bar none!!Thanks very much!!!! I am one lucky and spoiled girl. Till next time. JL and Bamboo, get ready for Michelle!!:)

My GOD is bigger than my Worrries!!

Lately, emails send from my agency almost trip off my stability. I get one form the inbox and my heart goes tachycardic. I have been praying for this for centuries(exaggerated- just many years), my brothers especially. The continuous progress leaves me catatonic I react in the most confusing manner. I am happy then I get to feel empty. I shout a big thanks to the Lord at the same minute I express my doubt if all is for the good of me.

Yesterday, another mail popped on my inbox. After carefully reading it, I stared at myself in the mirror and wondered for a second if I have bipolar disorder. That feeling of joy that almost everything is falling in the place where I have wanted them to be from the beginning at the same degree, sadness creeps in with the imagination that if in case, all signs say GO, it will be a total, different kind of life for me.

I sat at the chapel, stared blankly at the altar, said a prayer of thanks for the good news received. After a while, tears just dropped uncontrollably. How I hate crying with eyeliner  and without a hanky at hand. I stopped reciting my mechanical prayers and just surrendered to the stillness of time and stayed blank. I know that God hears the most silent plea.

Worries of various nature pop on my head lately. Few are even life-turning and game-changing in big big ways. I even have urges of nausea lately, maybe my anatomical reaction to what is happening. So I tell myself, I need to slow down, take time to grasp the events and continue to ask for guidance.

I pray God will always make time for me. Bet He has coz He is the Almighty. I ask Him to relax my heart and let not the progress and processes overwhelm me. With faith that hopes, I am assured everything will turn in the way best planned for me by Him!!

Pray for Others Day

As I was heading today for work, with the Sorrowful mysteries of the rosary played on my ninoycory myphone, an idea popped on my mind. Lately, I have been asking random, vague favors from God. I tell Him to please do this and that for me. I pray for me, me and me. I pray for other people too especially for my family and loved ones. But this morning, I declare Friday a Pray for Others Day. I told myself, "Michelle Ann, pause just for today asking incessantly for your petitions." 

As the rosary was done, I prayed for all the people on the road. " Lord, bless the drivers, especially the motorcycle drivers and all the passengers. May there be no road mishaps today.".

During the First Friday mass, I pray for my workplace administrators, academic and non- acedemic personnel, our 4Runners and most especially the student body.

As I was having my brunch of chicken adobo and rice, I prayed for the canteen proprietress and her hardworking staff. I prayed for the recovery of my maintenance- in- charge's daughter as she is down with fever. I requested God that He may bless the student assistants with wisdom and perseverance so that they may bring home good grades to their parents.

" Make all my former crushes happy and safe, dear Lord." " Please take care of all the sick, may they be comforted to know that You will heal them with Your hands. I especially pray for those admitted at JBL and UP PGH." "Bless all those bravely battling terminal diseases like cancer , embrace their hearts and their families."

" Remember Lord those who have died and gone before us, especially my father Michael, our friends and relatives, Cory on her 5th death anniversary. Bless all the souls in purgatory, those who are not remembered anymore. Bless the unborn and aborted babies. I pray for those who have died in the civil war in the Gaza Strip."

" Bless my sisters and best friends with peace and joy." " Hug those who are in emotional and spiritual pain now."  " Guide PNoy in leading Philippines. Please lessen his hardheadedness." " Take care of the PAGASA  weathermen. Keep everyone safe."" Bless the soul of Steve Jobs. Thank you for his Apple innovations." "Provide Arlette with a safe trip from Dumaguete."

"May my friends have a blast of fun later at XO." "May all find balance of living the various snippets of life."

There were about 4-5 times today wherein I was beginning to talk to God about my favors and wishes, then I was reminded of my self-declared "Pray for Others Day."  So I stopped. You know what, I feel good!!  I hope I could do this more often.
