Summer at My Favorite Island, April 2014 I

I lost count of the times my feet set on this beautiful island of Aklan, yet every time I am here, the excitement inside me never wavers, in fact it becomes increasingly intense. On April 3-6, I savored and breathed the sun, fun, food and sand in Boracay.
As a creature of habit who writes goals and objectives for each day, activities I plan to do in Boracay were scribbled on my little notebook. One of the many is massage by the beach and this was the first thing I did after I took a shower from an early Manila flight (via Cebu Pacific), Caticlan boat and hot tricycle ride to our hotel. This is a good start to relieve the tight knots of my body from work, running and badminton.
The beautiful sunset staged at Boracay is an attraction itself.. Many locals and guests stay by the bay to capture this with their tablets or simply stare at it.

The mojito at Epic Bar tasted good with no overpowering taste of the alcohol mixed with it. Boracay with its several establishments offers irresistible Happy Hour to the guests. It's Buy 1 Take 1 on all local  beers and cocktails. I take advantage of it, for the price of 180 pesos, I get to have 2 mojito glasses. #tipidtip

My ever supportive, dependable and reliable buddy, Harry ,gamely said YES when I suggested to him that we fly to Boracay for a quick respite. It was easy for him to agree since he loves the place as much.

I can't' help but take photos of me using CamMe application coz I love the room given to us by Boracay Regency Resort and Spa. Thanks to Lanie, the front desk manager who has the patience to attend to my kakulitan.

Harry and I were having hard time in doing perfect selflies, after several tries, we concluded we need some more practice.:)

Excuse me for this, but I become more beautiful when I am in Boracay!!:)

Here is Ms. Lanie. It is such a blessing to meet acquaintances that later on become your friends. We met her last year for the PSUG conference. She gave me more-than-warm accommodation in their Triple A Boracay Regency. Discount plus room upgrade, early check-in, what more could I ask for? Thank you again, Lanie.

I love the aviator shades from my niece, Maimai.

Days prior to the trip, I searched on the net blogs that suggest places to try for good food worth spending. MaƱana was often on the list so we went there for our first supper. They delivered well. The restaurant offers Mexican recipes and they have huge serving. Harry and I ordered their Burrito platter, the waiter even suggested a chicken and beef combination. It was more than enough for us as there's rice, mashed corn as side dish.I like that they generously offer extra servings( free of charge)of their guacamole and salsa sauce.

Ngiti na abot hanggang mata.

Good morning to you, my dear Boracay. This is the view during our breakfast at Real Coffee. This legendary local food place in Boracay has transferred to a bigger and easier to find location nonetheless, with the same delicious brekky choices, muffins and cookies.

My pancakes with scrambled egg.

Real Coffee's original calamansi muffin.

Another thing-to-do on my list: get a tattoo, in fact I got two. It has been a wish of mine to have permanent ink on my body but Mamang is very much against it plus I am also not sure of how safe and sterile the needles will be, if in case I decide to have one. So for the meantime, I settle for henna ones.

I posted this on Instagram with the caption "I have a happy life because I have a thankful heart."

Fly. Swim. Eat.
