An Extra Special and Grateful Friday

Yesterday was the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, stamped on our mind are the words, "Heart of Jeeeeesuss meek and milddd, hear oh hear thy feeble child!" During the Eucharistic celebration, I mentioned to God my big wishes: for my dormant heart to wake up from deep slumber, hear Adam sing Love Somebody live and capture a complete family portrait.I have always been a firm believer that Jesus hears our littlest desires so I made extra add-ons: a San Mig Coffee win,to finish the Research lecture presentation and an exemplary performance of the students in the Nursing board exam as the results could be out any hour .

Together with my Villa girlfriends, we went for a roast beef, tempura and sashimi dinner. It was a safe way for me to stay out of the PBA game. However, I couldn't resist peeking at Twitter for the match score. Too happy for my team's win in another do-or-die duel, James was even the Best Player of the night. Looking forward for the Finals series and a possible Grand slam!!!!!!:) I will see you soonest!

Our university has a 70+% passing rate compared to the national rate of 30+%, moreover, a truly huge complimentary gift is a 6th place board topnotcher in the name of Charles Angelo Sagad. THIS guy is it!!!!! I was the batch's instructor in Competency Appraisal, a subject meant to prepare them for the board exams. One time, I got upset for a not-so-good outcome of an exam I gave to them I asked for the possible reasons and how we can improve or help to achieve better results. Charles was one of the very few who took the initiative to politely voice out his point of view and suggestions. He is an intelligent young man who is never abrasive and remains to be humble and respectful. He received Cum Laude honors and his graduation speech was full of hope and inspiration for his batch mates. Thank you Charles for granting SOMEONE's wish to have a board topnotcher in his term.Congratulations Charles and all our other board passers!!!Kudos to all you and your parents/guardians!!!

As for my Research lecture presentation, I still have tonight and tomorrow to have it done!:)

Isn't it amazing??? Amazingggg!!! The Sacred Heart of Jesus wonderfully knows our  hearts' wants and He unselfishly grants them in the best possible way. As for my big big wishes, I am filled with faith and hope He will hand them to me very soonest!!:)

June 27, 2014- a grateful, blessed and happy Friday!!:)

Pray. Hope. Be thankful.

My Cath Kidston from London

Each time, friends from abroad would ask me what I want for "pasalubong", I try to avoid saying "Kahit ano", "Bahala na ka", or "Wag na". Let me be honest, we want to receive presents we like, right? Besides, I feel the giver won't bother to ask if she/he will not consider the request. Unless we are lovers of surprises. That is why when I am asked, I give the question a thought. I even do a rundown on my stuffs, the latest trends in fashion, the availability of resources at the giver's location, and I google. Lest you misunderstood my not so typical behavior on this matter, let me say that I only do this to people I have real tight relationship. I also try to make sure it won't cost hassle and too great a deal of discomfort for them in finding my wish list.

That is why when my ever dearest sinister friend, Prince vibered me and asked what I want as present for his brief Philippine homecoming, I spent a night thinking about it. He mentioned in passing he's supposed to hand me tea set identical to the one he gave to the Queen of All Media (Prince served as her friend-tour guide in London) but I told him sweetly I am at the point of not liking her much these recent weeks.

Cath Kidston brand came to my mind, heard it first few years ago when then Kate Middleton was spotted with a Kidston bag. So I searched on the brand's website, fancied the wallets and imessaged the product photos to Prince. Duchess of Cambridge lang and peg!!:) Of course, my loyal, hardworking and ever funny friend of 12 years ( time zooms fast) Prynz did not disappoint me with this sky blue loot bag form Cath Kidston!:)

Heart for love.

We asked Prince's partner, O, to hand the wallet to me coz he's wise and frugal, the former spendthrift.Peace, Prynz.:)

Thanks to you my dear. See how glad Ate Tzie is with the loots.:)
Rainy season has started and I sparingly use my Love mug for a cup of hot coffee. As I adore the design illustrations of the purse and pouch, I stare at them mindlessly and ponder on my friendship with Prynz. He has become bigger than life yet he remains to stay as thoughtful, vibrant and ever sweet to me. I see him achieve his dreams for his family and I am mighty proud of him. The most important value my relationship with Prynz has taught me through the years  is that friendship needs to be nurtured, it is not to be taken for granted, it takes effort and time to keep its sustainability, otherwise it will wither and lose its very essence.

Live.Love.Life.

Happy Special Day to Fathers

Happy Father's Day to all the daddys,Papas and Tatangs!! Special shout out to my koyas, Mark, Melvin, Miller and to our Papang up there in heaven. :)

TFIOS

Finally, the movie is out!! The novel by John Green brought tears, sobs even so yesterday, I watched the movie in cinemas so I can cry unabashedly because I have a clear idea of what will transpire in the more than two hours run of the film.
The main characters are Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters played by Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. They played as siblings in the Divergent movie. In TFIOS, they portrayed the role of teenager lovers both afflicted with cancer. I won't make this a movie review as I know a huge chunk of people are planning to watch this tearjerker film. Please please, bring a hanky with you.

Two best things about TFIOS the movie are first, Shailene and Ansel have a convincing chemistry as unpretentious and unconventional youngsters who live their lives in the best manner they know how in spite of the stubborn cancer cells breathing in their systems.  They show sincere, courageous and inspiring kind of love. Second, the movie made sure to include the striking, unforgettable lines and paragraphs of John Green's novel.

The Fault in Our Stars "is not about cancer. It is not about cancer, it is not about dying, it is not about death itself, it is about love."
Make time for the novel and movie. I guess it doesn't matter much which you'd prefer to have first. Both are amazing and worthwhile.
The love story of Hazel and Gus makes me miss the romantic side of love. But I guess, there's one too many faults in my stars!!:)
